# Terms & Conditions

### Buying a Split Stake

When a user purchases a Split Stake, it's important to understand that this is a purchase. Purchasing a Split Stake causes changes in ownership of BUSD and Split Stakes.

* The user gives ownership of the Split Stake purchase cost in BUSD to the Wealth Mountain Team
* The Wealth Mountain Team gives ownership of specified Split Stakes to the user

Ownership of Split Stakes allows the user to earn rewards from Split Staking Pool reward distributions. Along with rewards earnings, Split Staking gives users and organizations the ability to influence the investing decisions that the Wealth Mountain Team takes through Voting and Nominations.

Users with Split Stakes will always have the following rights:

* Right to sell Split Stakes for 25% of purchase price
* Right to earn rewards from distributions by the Wealth Portfolio
* Right to vote on Nominated projects (if enough Split Stakes are held)
* Right to nominate projects to be voted on (if enough Split Stakes are held)

### Pricing

Users understand that Split Stake pricing is dynamic and can be changed at the discretion of the Wealth Mountain Team.

* When Split Stakes are purchased, price per stake goes up by $3 BUSD.
* When Split Stakes are sold, price per stake goes down by $3 BUSD.
* Split Stake prices can be adjusted by the Wealth Mountain Team at any point.
* The base starting price of Split Stakes will be $500 BUSD.

### Inventory

Split Stakes will have a limited quantity which will be visible to all users. The Wealth Mountain Team has the ability to increase the # of Split Stakes available for purchase at any given point in time.

### Risks

From a users' perspective, the risk associated with purchasing Split Stakes can be seen as 75% of the purchase price.

* Users can sell Split Stakes at any point in time for 25% of their purchase price

### Mechanics

When a user purchases a Split Stake, a few things happen:

* 25% of the users' BUSD is kept in an isolated BuyBack pool in the Split Staking Smart Contract. This will only ever be accessible to the user when selling their Split Stake.
* 75% of the users' BUSD is sent to the Wealth Mountain Team via the Split Staking Smart Contract
* The users' wallet address is stored in the Split Staking Smart Contract as an owner of a Split Stake
* The max supply of Split Stakes goes down by 1
* The price of a Split Stake goes up by $3

When the Wealth Portfolio sends a distribution to the Split Staking Smart Contract:

* An isolated pool of BUSD is created within the Split Staking Smart Contract
* Eligible users can claim an equal share of rewards per Split Stake owned
* Rewards per user are calculated at the Split Stake level. Each Split Stake receives an equal share of rewards from a given distribution.

When a user sells a Split Stake:

* The user agrees to relinquish ownership of their Split Stake
* The Split Staking Smart Contract will send 25% of the users' purchase price to the user
